Encore Two User Manual Issue 1You can use Auto Increment and Auto Increment Value when settingup continuous relays on continuous ports. In the example shown left, two 8-Track machines are being fed audio fromthe console on 2MAD, these machines are attached to MCS ports 2 and 3.> Click Save&Load and the tracks will be ready to be armed remotely.> This can be done by either:• Opening the Machine Properties dialog, and clicking each track onscreen to arm/disarm each track.• Using the REC buttons on the Pec/Direct panel (making sure therelevant Track is not set to SAFE)Names ConfigurationThe Names Configuration page has has been superceded by I/OConfiguration, and is non-functional.Port GroupingWARNING!ANY Changes made in I/ODesigner will apply to ALL MixSetups that are subsequentlyloaded onto the console.Port Grouping allows a number of Output ports to be ganged togetherlike a distribution amplifier, so that when a path is attached to one of theoutputs, it is routed to all of them. This is particularly useful when sending a single signal to multipledestinations. The utility used to interrogate and set the Port Grouping is called I/ODesigner.I/O Designer is a password-protected system utility set up when theconsole is installed, and is not normally part of the operational Encoresuite.> To change the Port Grouping, launch I/O Designer using the Edit (I/O Designer) button. This is a password-protected application as changes will affect allsubsequent console users.> Select the Grouped Ports tab.V5.4 Software / Engine selectionIn V5.4 software, it is still possible to group Output ports together, but notpossible to include ports from different engines into the same group. All ports must therefore reside on the same engine.> Click the Engine 1 or Engine 2 button first to display all of the portshandled by that engine. The rest of the procedure is the same as V5.3 software.- 169 -
