Encore Two User Manual Issue 1This is to avoid conflicts arising if two systems attempt to control thesame fader.Faders in AFT are indicated by one of the two triangular trim indicatorsnext to the fader being illuminated. The bottom of the two triangular trim indicators next to the fader willilluminate to indicate the DSP fade is at the bottom. The physical faderhowever will remain in the open position. This allows the operator to move the fader to the level it should be atwhen the external tally opens the fader.Touching the fader will confirm the DSP fade value, i.e. the preprogrammedminimum value. When a tally is applied to any of the opto isolators that have been mappedto a channel’s AFT function, the channel’s fader will open. The upper trim indicator next to the fader will flash during the transition toindicate the direction of travel. The fader knob will remain stationary, butthe audio will be faded up at the pre-programmed rate till it reaches thelevel that the fader knob indicates, when the Control AFT switch will gored and the upper trim indicator will illuminate. The fader can be moved at any time to adjust the open fader level, butthe audio level will not follow the fader if it is moved below the minimumvalue. When the tally is removed, the audio will fade to the minimum value atthe pre-programmed rate, though the physical fader remains stationary.Switching AFT Control off will restore the fader to normal manual controland the audio fade will ramp up/down to match the physical faderposition.Quick PrefsThese 4 Prefs are the same as found in Preferences / Extended Prefs• Fader Start Integrity System: When checked, a relay associatedwith a path will only fire if the path has a clear route to an Output. This is in addition to any other conditions that affect the relay:• AFT Enable: turns the AFT system on and off.• AFT Invert and On/Cut Invert: Some switcher systems useinverted logic so these options allow incoming data to also beinverted, so the switch logic operates as it should.> To exit from I/O Config, click the Exit button. If all changes have been saved I/O Config will close (if there are un-savedchanges a warning dialogue box will be displayed).> Click• Stay In IO Config,• Exit, or• Do Not Saveas required.> If Exit, Do Not Save is selected then I/O Config will close.Any changes made since the last save will be lost. This is useful if erroneous changes have been made that would be timeconsuming to undo (for eg accidentally clearing delay on all inputs).- 176 -
