<strong>Encore</strong> <strong>Two</strong> <strong>User</strong> <strong>Manual</strong> Issue 1This option has no function on systems with TFT meters.Solo Settings & Relay ControlThe Solo Settings & Relay Control page is used to select the Solo modeand how the (optional) relays are operated.Solo ModeThe Solo Mode determines the signal behaviour when a SOLO key ispressed.> To set the Solo Mode click the AFL, Solo In Place or Track Presendradio button as required (see panel on left for explanation of solo modes)Fader Start RelaysThis determines whether or not the optional Relay Control Unit recognisesfaders being cut.GPIAFL: When AFL is selected, theSolo signal will be routed to theAFL bus (LISTEN1).The signal to the control roommonitors will be replaced withthe AFL signal.All signals will still be routedthrough the console but will notbe audible.Solo In Place: When Solo InPlace is selected, operating aSolo key will cause all the otherpaths to be cut, leaving onlythe Soloed path to bemonitored.This makes Solo In Place adestructive operation to theFilms and/or Main Outputs.Track Presend: Track Presendis the same as Solo In Place,except that any Track pre-sendauxiliaries are not cut.If you are controlling external devices by GPI, then this option should beenabled.Process GroupingThis allows EQ Grouping, Filter Grouping and Aux Grouping to beenabled and disabled. When grouping is disabled then all of the processitems (e.g. all EQ bands) are switched on and off together.In the case of the Aux controls, this option is used to prevent the Auxesfrom being grouped.This option is only available on DFC.Status PanelEnables or disables the relays which control the indicators in the optionalStatus Panel.Relay GangingThis option is used to simultaneously drive relays for an AudioFile anddubbing machine.Do not enable this option unless it is necessary.PEC DirectThe Pec Direct panel (where fitted) normally operates in Record Directmode where switching a paddle from OFF to REC will also switch theassociated bus/tape paddle from TAPE to BUS (This is necessary for oldertape machine designs that do not have a tape return when the machine isin record).- 68 -
