Francesca Bellino’s “La fuga”<br />

Gaoheng Zhang, Ph.D., has conducted research and taught<br />

courses on <strong>Italian</strong> language and culture at leading institutions<br />

in China (Beijing Foreign Studies University), Italy (Università<br />

per Stranieri in Perugia and Sapienza Università di Roma), and<br />

the United States (New York University and The <strong>Italian</strong> Cultural<br />

Institute in New York). His doctoral dissertation, entitled “Travel<br />

and <strong>Italian</strong> Masculinities in Gianni Amelio’s Cinema,” reflects his<br />

research interests in mobility, gender and masculinity, cinema and<br />

media, and rhetorical and communication studies. In 2012, a series<br />

<strong>of</strong> his articles on these issues will appear in a number <strong>of</strong> journals<br />

and anthologies. Previously he co-edited Power and Image in Early<br />

Modern Europe (Newcastle, UK: Cambridge Scholars Publishing,<br />

2008) with Jessica Goethals and Valerie McGuire, and co-authored<br />

a photographic essay, entitled “Traces <strong>of</strong> India,” with Valerie<br />

McGuire, which appeared in the Perception Issue <strong>of</strong> Anamesa: An<br />

Interdisciplinary <strong>Journal</strong>, 6:2 (Fall 2008).<br />

Francesca Bellino (1976), giornalista, scrittrice, reporter di<br />

viaggio, autrice e conduttrice televisiva e radi<strong>of</strong>onica. Ha pubblicato<br />

la raccolta di reportage Uno sguardo più in là (Aram/<br />

Betmultimedia, 2010), Il prefisso di Dio. Storie e labirinti di Once,<br />

Buenos Aires (Infinito, 2008) e due saggi, E’ ancora vivo! Lucio Battisti<br />

risorge attraverso i mezzi di comunicazione (Sottotraccia, 2000) e<br />

Non sarà un’avventura. Lucio Battisti e il jazz italiano (Elleu, 2004).<br />

Per Radiorai3 ha curato per Percorsi “Fiestas in Centro America”<br />

(2008), per Passioni “Tunisia: verso la libertà” (2011) e per il Tre Soldi<br />

“Ramadan all’occidentale” (2010). Nel 2009 ha ricevuto la Targa<br />

Olaf al “Premio Cronista Piero Passetti” e il “Premio Principessa<br />

Sichelgaita”. Suoi testi sono tradotti in spagnolo dal Clarin di Buenos<br />
