Marco Mohamed Riswan Sottocorona (1982) was born in<br />

Sri-Lanka and grew up in Italy. He is a graduate <strong>of</strong> the University<br />

<strong>of</strong> Roma Tre (BA and MA) and <strong>of</strong> the University <strong>of</strong> Pisa (Level 2<br />

Postgraduate Master Course: <strong>Translation</strong> <strong>of</strong> Postcolonial Texts in<br />

English: Literature, Essays, Theatre and Cinema). He has worked<br />

on Sri-Lankan writer Romesh Gunesekera and on the Australian<br />

poet Les Murray, and he is currently working on New Zealand Mori<br />

novelist Patricia Grace at Victoria University <strong>of</strong> Wellington, where<br />

he has just completed a teaching and research assistance exchange.<br />

Marco Sonzogni (1971) holds degrees from the University<br />

<strong>of</strong> Pavia (BA), University <strong>College</strong> Dublin (MA), Trinity <strong>College</strong><br />

Dublin (PhD), Victoria University <strong>of</strong> Wellington (MA) and the University<br />

<strong>of</strong> Auckland (MLitt). He is a Senior Lecturer in the School<br />

<strong>of</strong> Languages and Cultures at Victoria University <strong>of</strong> Wellington,<br />

New Zealand, where he is also the Director <strong>of</strong> the New Zealand<br />

Centre for Literary <strong>Translation</strong>. A widely published academic and<br />

an award-winning editor, literary translator and poet, he has just<br />

completed a book on book cover design as intersemiotic translation.<br />

Anna Jackson was born in Auckland in 1967. She is a graduate<br />

<strong>of</strong> Auckland, where she has subsequently taught subjects ranging<br />

from Victorian Literature to Film Studies,; at Oxford University,<br />

she completed a doctoral dissertation entitled A poetics <strong>of</strong> the Diary.<br />

She currently teaches in the School <strong>of</strong> English, Film, Theatre and<br />

Media Studies at Victoria University <strong>of</strong> Wellington, New Zealand.
