Nachdem Kerri CloughGorr im<br />
Jahr 1985 den Bachelor of Science<br />
in Electrical Engineering erhielt,<br />
arbeitete sie ungefähr 15 Jahre<br />
lang als Ingenieurin und technische<br />
Führungskraft in der Industrie,<br />
bevor sie auf dem Gebiet der<br />
Gesundheitsversorgung tätig<br />
wurde. Im Jahr 2000 erwarb<br />
sie den Master of Public Health und 2006 den Doctor of<br />
Science in Epidemiology, beide an der Boston University<br />
School of Public Health, USA. Seit 2009 ist sie leitende<br />
wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin der Abteilung Internationale<br />
Gesundheit und Umwelt am Institut für Sozial<br />
und Präventivmedizin (ISPM) der Universität Bern. Seit<br />
2010 ist sie Wissenschaftliche Direktorin des Nationalen<br />
Instituts für Krebsepidemiologie und registrierung<br />
(NICER) am Institut für Sozial und Präventivmedizin der<br />
Universität Zürich. Ihre Forschung konzentriert sich auf<br />
die Krebsepidemiologie und auf Fragen zum Assessment<br />
in der Geriatrie. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt ist das<br />
Leben älterer Krebspatienten.<br />
