Collaborative Design Plattform (CDP)
„CDP“ befasst sich mit der Verschmelzung digitaler und analoger Entwurfswerkzeuge.
Die direkte Kopplung von real greifbaren Volumenmodellen mit interaktiven
Inhalten erweitert den Informationsgehalt rein physischer Arbeitsmodelle
um zusätzliche digitale Informationen wie z.B. Simulationen, Analysen und
Berechnungen. Somit unterstützen in Echtzeit auf dem Modell angezeigte Simulationen
und Analysen den Entwerfer im Entwurfsprozess und bei der Entscheidungsfindung.
Die heute noch getrennt voneinander genutzten Entwurfsmedien
(Modell und Computer) verschmelzen und es entsteht ein kontinuierlicher Entwurfsprozess
ohne Medienbrüche.
Collaborative Design Plattform (CDP)
“CDP” is concerned with the fusion of digital and analogue design tools. The
direct coupling of real tangible volume models with interactive content enhances
the information substance of purely physical working models with additional
digital information, such as simulations, analyses and calculations. Thus, simulations
and analyses that are displayed on the model in real time support the
designer in the design process and in their decision making. The design media
(model computer) which are still used separately today merge, creating one continuous
design process without media breaks.

Parametrische Software ermöglicht die effiziente Planung von Gebäuden mit
komplexer Geometrie. Dies führt oft zu komplexen und schwer zu realisierenden
Konstruktionsdetails und hohem Montageaufwand. Unter diesem Gesichtspunkt
wurde im Rahmen eines Lehr- und Forschungsprojektes für die Ausstellung
„Wendepunkte im Bauen“ im Architekturmuseum der TUM eine komplexe Holzstruktur
entworfen, programmiert und im Maßstab 1:1 produziert und aufgebaut.
Durch eine Optimierung des gesamten Produktionsprozesses, von der Vorfertigung
mit digitalen Maschinen über die Montage, bis hin zur Demontage und
einem daraus resultierenden intelligenten Fügungssystems konnte die 15m x 5m
große Struktur in nur 1 Woche produziert und 8 Stunden montiert werden.

Parametric software enables the efficient design of buildings with complex geometry.
This often leads to complex and difficult to realise construction details and
high assembly costs. From this point of view, as part of a teaching and research
project for the exhibition “turning points in the building”, a complex wooden
structure was designed, programmed and produced on a scale of 1:1 in the
Architekturmuseum of the TUM.
By optimising the entire production process, from pre-fabrication with digital
machines via the assembly through to the dismantling and consequent intelligent
construction system, the 15m x 5m wide structure could be produced in just 1
week and assembled in 8 hours.
