Wandelbare Überdachungssysteme
Der in der Diplomarbeit ausgearbeitete Entwurf greift auf das Grundprinzip des
am Lehrstuhl für Tragwerksplanung entwickelten wandelbaren Systems zurück.
Durch Kopplung der Module entsteht ein lineares einachsiges Tragsystem mit
Fachwerktragwirkung. Dank der Flexibilität der Module, kann das Tragwerk mehrere
unterschiedliche Formen einnehmen. Die Mechanik des Systems lässt ein
schnelles Auf- und Abbauen zu. Der hohe Packfaktor erlaubt einen einfachen
Umgang mit den Elementen und erleichtert den Transport.
Diese Eigenschaften machen sich vor allem als mobiler Ausstellungspavillon im
Bereich Messe- und Event bezahlt. Die Leichtigkeit der Konstruktion und ihre
High-Tech Erscheinung bietet dabei einen hervorragenden Hintergrund für
verschiedene Technik- und Modeevents.
Convertible roofing systems
The design elaborated in the diploma thesis draws on the basic principle of the convertible
system developed at the Chair of Structural Design. By coupling of the modules,
a linear single-axis support system with framework support emerges. Owing
to the flexibility of the modules, the structure can assume several different forms.
The mechanics of the system allow a quick assembly and disassembly. High packability
allows for easy handling of the elements and facilitates the transport.
These features pay dividends primarily as a mobile exhibition pavilion at trade
fairs and events. The lightness of the construction and its high-tech appearance
provide an excellent background for various technology and fashion events.
Peninsula Link - Connecting East London
Die Fuß- und Fahrradbrücke verbindet die Quartiere Canary Wharf, Geenwich
Peninsula mit Millenium Dome, West Silvertown mit ExCel Centre und Lower
Lea Valley/Olympia. Die Kontur der Brücke legt sich wie ein leichtes Band über
die Themse und tritt nicht in Konkurrenz zu den stark vertikalen Elementen der
Hochhäuser in Canary Warf sowie den Pylonen des Millenniums Doms.
Auf der Brücke sollen in ca. 10 m Höhe über dem Wasser Plätze als innerstädtische
Erholungsräume entstehen, von denen aus das Spektakel der Brückenöffnung verfolgt
werden kann. Die Höhenanpassung erfolgt durch Absenken des Spannbandes.
Durch Zugabe an den Widerlagern des Spannbandes über Hydraulikzylinder werden
die Haltepunkte des Bandes an den Pendelstützen um jeweils 5 m in Richtung
Brückenmitte verschoben, wodurch sich die Brücke um 19,65 m absenkt. Um einer
Verschmutzung und Durchnässung der Fahrbahn durch das Eintauchen vorzubeugen,
wird nur die Tragkonstruktion in die Themse abgesenkt.
Peninsula Link - Connecting East London
The pedestrian and bicycle bridge connects Canary Wharf, Geenwich Peninsula
with Millennium Dome, West Silvertown with ExCel Centre and Lower Lea Valley/
Olympic. The contour of the bridge runs like a light ribbon across the Thames and
does not compete with the strong vertical elements of the skyscrapers in Canary
Warf and the pylons of the Millennium Dome.
On the bridge at about 10m above the water, squares are to be developed as intraurban
recreation areas, from which the spectacle of the opening of the bridge can
be observed. The height adjustment is carried out by lowering of the taut ribbon.
By adding to the abutments of the taut ribbon by means of hydraulic cylinders, the
retention points of the ribbon are moved by 5m at the hinged support in the direction
of the bridge centre, thereby lowering the bridge by 19.65 m. To prevent contamination
and wetting of the roadway by the immersion, only the supporting
structure is lowered into the Thames.
