movement of smoke and flame with<strong>in</strong> the cavity.<br />

2.1.2.12 A part of a station or tra<strong>in</strong>way that encloses and is exposed<br />

overhead <strong>in</strong> a room, circulation space or protected shaft. (A<br />

soffit or rooflight is <strong>in</strong>cluded as part of its surface, but not<br />

the frame of a rooflight.)<br />

2.1.2.13 A space ma<strong>in</strong>ly used as means of access between a room or<br />

protected shaft and an exit from the station or compartment.<br />

It shall not be used <strong>for</strong> putt<strong>in</strong>g up any commercial activity<br />

such as <strong>in</strong><strong>for</strong>mation and reception counter, exhibition and the<br />

like.<br />

2.1.2.14 A part of a station or tra<strong>in</strong>way separated from all other parts<br />

of the same station or tra<strong>in</strong>way by compartment walls and/or<br />

compartment floors. A roof space above the top storey of a<br />

compartment is <strong>in</strong>cluded <strong>in</strong> that compartment.<br />

2.1.2.15 A wall or a floor which is provided <strong>for</strong> the purpose of<br />

divid<strong>in</strong>g a station <strong>in</strong>to compartments <strong>for</strong> the purposes of<br />

Cl.2.3.2 and complies with Cl.2.3.7.<br />
