(ii) All exit access doors which open <strong>in</strong>to the<br />

corridor shall not h<strong>in</strong>der movement of occupants.<br />

The corridor’s clear width shall at least rema<strong>in</strong> to<br />

be half of the required clear width as stipulated <strong>in</strong><br />

Cl. 2.2.5.4 when such door(s) is swung open.<br />

Exception: Exit access doors of plantrooms <strong>in</strong><br />

buffer areas.<br />

(f) <strong>Fire</strong> door to protected staircase and smoke-stop/firefight<strong>in</strong>g/fire<br />

lift lobby shall be constructed to<br />

<strong>in</strong>corporate a vision panel. The vision panel shall have<br />

a clear view size of 100mm width by 600mm height.<br />

The vision panel shall have the requisite fire resistance<br />

rat<strong>in</strong>g and shall not turn opaque when subject to heat.<br />

The vision panel shall be located with the bottom edge<br />

not higher than 900mm and the top edge lower than<br />

1500mm measured from the f<strong>in</strong>ished floor level, and<br />

(g) Revolv<strong>in</strong>g doors shall not be used as exit doors <strong>for</strong><br />

required exits, and<br />

(h) Where exit doors <strong>in</strong> a means of escape are used <strong>in</strong><br />

pairs,<br />

(i) Approved automatic flush bolts shall be<br />

provided, and<br />

(ii) The unlatch<strong>in</strong>g of any leaf shall not require<br />

more than one operation, and<br />

(i) Latched exit doors <strong>in</strong> a means of escape from an area<br />

hav<strong>in</strong>g an occupant load of 100 persons or more shall<br />

be equipped with approved panic exit device. The<br />

panic exit device shall operate to open the door when<br />

a pressure is applied on the bar <strong>in</strong> the direction of<br />

travel and be appropriately marked “Push Bar To<br />

Open” <strong>in</strong> letters not less than 50mm high, and<br />

(j) Where doors located <strong>in</strong> the required means of escape<br />

path are operated by power upon the approach of a<br />

person, the doors shall automatically opened and<br />

rema<strong>in</strong>ed at the fully open position,<br />

(i) Upon activation of the station's fire alarm, or<br />

(ii) In the event of a loss of power to the door.<br />
