(6) Very dedicated, hardworking and willing to work flexible hours.<br />

(7) Able to take responsibility and initiative.<br />

4. Telecommunication IT Specialist<br />

a. Report to. Chief Coordinator PEOC<br />

b. Grade. 17<br />

c. Location. PDMAs<br />

d. Job Purpose. The main purpose this is to provide the IT communication support to the<br />

PEOC and facilitate the PEOC team and representatives of the concerned<br />

departments who will join PEOC during the disaster time. In addition to that the IT<br />

communication Specialist will ensure the smooth function of the communication<br />

network and provide trouble shooting support to PEOC in disaster and non disaster<br />

time.<br />

e. Key Responsibilities<br />

(1) Supervise the operations of the communication centre.<br />

(2) Establish and maintain the communication system in PEOC.<br />

(3) Prepare email networking in the PEOC.<br />

(4) Provide troubleshooting support in disaster and non disaster times.<br />

(5) Receive and disseminate warnings to the PEOC, DEOC.<br />

(6) Render technical support to the PEOC and DEOC when required.<br />

(7) Establish radio communication system and arrange communication equipment<br />

when required.<br />

(8) Support to the logistics, administration and emergency coordinator developing<br />

different types of computerized formats.<br />

(9) Identify IT and communication needs and prepare procurement plan (with<br />

specifications) accordingly. Submit to the Chief Coordinator PEOC.<br />

(10) Establish communication in the field if required.<br />

(11) Ensure communication and backup equipment are fully operational.
