(21) Adapt logistics activities according to security considerations as the operational<br />
environment changes; ensure new emergency operations are effectively<br />
supported.<br />
f. Security Management and Systems<br />
(1) Implement security guidelines for DEOC at district level. Finalize security plans<br />
as part of a fully inclusive process involving as many team members as<br />
possible. Publish and implement the security guidelines. Translate it in local<br />
and national language.<br />
(2) Ensure that DEOC vehicles, premises and equipment are compliant with basic<br />
security standards.<br />
(3) Maintain a security risk assessment and regularly revise as and when the<br />
context and situation on the ground changes.<br />
(4) Ensure that briefing documents and maps are developed to help orient all new<br />
staff and humanitarian organizations.<br />
(5) Conduct ongoing threat assessments and compile reports on security<br />
assessments and share reports with humanitarian organizations‟.<br />
(6) Coordinate and liaise on safety and security matters with all relevant actors<br />
such as police department, NGOs, and other relevant government authorities.<br />
(7) Any other duties as assigned by the district Coordinator DEOC.<br />
g. Qualification and Skills<br />
(1) Master degree in social sciences.<br />
(2) 3 years experience in administration, logistics, procurement and security<br />
management.<br />
(3) Good understanding of government system.<br />
(4) Experience of procurement, warehousing, stock control and transport and<br />
distribution of goods.<br />
(5) Experience and knowledge of personnel and organizational security issues.<br />
(6) Compilation of security reports and assessments.<br />
(7) Good communication and organization skills.<br />
(8) Competency in Internet and Microsoft Office systems including Word, Excel,<br />
