ii. Coordinate with NEOC, PDMA, concerned departments and<br />

other stakeholders.<br />

iii. Collect information from talukas/tehsils. Analyze, consolidate<br />

and circulate to PEOC, NEOC, concerned departments and<br />

other stakeholders.<br />

iv. Coordinate operations management at district level.<br />

v. Deploy evacuation, medical, search and rescue teams in the<br />

affected area.<br />

vi. Provide relief assistance to the affected population in the district.<br />

vii. Supply temporary shelter as relief camp to the affected<br />

population.<br />

viii. Provide medical and sanitation facilities to the affected<br />

population.<br />

ix. Liaison with concerned departments and stakeholders engaged<br />

in emergency response.<br />

x. Screen and issue disaster warnings and information to the<br />

communities concerning preparedness and safety.<br />

xi. Forward urgent information to relevant agencies for immediate<br />

action.<br />

xii. Arrange daily briefings on disaster situations.<br />

xiii. Issue press releases and information for general public and<br />

specific groups.<br />

xiv. Record keeping and preparation of consolidated reports.<br />

(3) Activation Procedure<br />

(a) On Receipt of Alert (Standby - Stage 1). Chief Coordinator DEOC<br />

receives information and regular update on potential disaster from<br />

taluka/tehsil administration about the situation. Advises<br />

Secretary/Chairperson DDMA to seek alert/activation approval, who<br />

advises the Chairman Secretary/Chairperson DDMA about the alert<br />

phase and seeks approval for it. Approval of Alert phase is notified to<br />

the key departments at district and below district level, PEOC and<br />

NEOC. SOPs to be followed for this stage are:-<br />

i. Closely coordinate and gets information on the situation from<br />

taluka/tehsil administration.<br />

ii. Monitor the situation.<br />

iii. Update Secretary/Chairman DDMA.<br />

iv. Alert the DEOC staff.
