other government departments to work together to prevent and mitigate<br />
the effects.<br />
(d) Organize and coordinate trainings programmes for DDMA team,<br />
departments and voluntary rescue workers at district level.<br />
(e) Facilitate community trainings and awareness program for prevention of<br />
disaster and mitigation with support of departments and local NGOs.<br />
(f) Update SOPs for each department at district levels.<br />
(g) Prepare, maintain and upgrade the mechanism for early warning and<br />
device information dissemination strategy that information reach to the<br />
end user.<br />
(h) Identify and prepare list of public buildings which can be used as relief<br />
centres in the event of disaster and prepare plans for water supply and<br />
sanitation for these buildings.<br />
(j) Stockpile relief and rescue materials or ensure preparedness to make<br />
such material available at short notice.<br />
(k) Monitor hazards, risks and vulnerable conditions within the district on<br />
regular basis and device plan accordingly.<br />
(l) Encourage participation of NGOs and voluntary social welfare<br />
organizations and communities in different aspects of emergency<br />
response.<br />
(2) During <strong>Disaster</strong><br />
(a) Activate DEOC.<br />
(b) Inform district level departments to get ready for emergency response.<br />
(c) Inform PEOC and NEOC about the situation.<br />
(d) Conduct initial and subsequent assessment of disaster affected areas<br />
and determine the extent of loss and damage.<br />
(e) Responsible for incident management at district level.<br />
(f) Organize evacuation on priority basis.<br />
(g) Prepare detail plan for the resources requirement for relief operation<br />
and share it with the PDMA and <strong>NDMA</strong>.<br />
(h) Provide food, drinking water, medical supplies, non food items to the<br />
affected population.<br />
(j) Deploy medical, search and rescue and emergency response team<br />
immediately.<br />
(k) Set up relief camps.<br />
(l) Coordinate with PDMA and <strong>NDMA</strong> to deploy resources for emergency<br />
response.
