(2) Make arrangements to deploy teachers and students for voluntary assistance in<br />
assessment and distribution of relief goods in the affected areas.<br />
(3) Provide support to PDMAs in education sector assessment.<br />
(4) Support PDMA and provincial education authorities to run emergency mobile<br />
schools and provide teaching material to continue education during the<br />
emergency.<br />
(5) Determine the extent of loss in educational institutions and prepare plans for<br />
their rehabilitation.<br />
(6) Prepare a report on the experience and share it with provincial education<br />
departments, PDMAs and NEOC.<br />
(7) Document the lesson learnt from the response experiences and incorporate<br />
same in future planning.<br />
4. Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock<br />
a. Emergency Preparedness<br />
(1) Prepare emergency preparedness plan.<br />
(2) Allocate resources for preparedness and response activities.<br />
(3) Prepare emergency preparedness plan on agriculture and livestock sector and<br />
share it with provincial agriculture and livestock departments, <strong>NDMA</strong>, and<br />
PDMAs.<br />
(4) Develop agriculture and livestock assessment checklist.<br />
(5) Develop indicators for drought early warning system and share it with provincial<br />
agriculture departments, <strong>NDMA</strong> and PDMAs etc.<br />
(6) Develop IEC material on emergency response for extension, community<br />
workers and farmers.<br />
(7) In collaboration with WFP identify food insecure areas of disaster prone districts<br />
in Pakistan.<br />
(8) Establish enough livestock feed manufacturing units in disaster prone districts<br />
so that people can access livestock feed in disaster times.<br />
(9) Create awareness on livestock feed and promote it through agriculture<br />
extension workers and livestock field assistants in disaster prone districts.<br />
(10) Create awareness on livestock feed among livestock owner and promote<br />
production of livestock feed.<br />
(11) Ensure that all provinces maintain reserve quota for essential vaccine in the<br />
disaster prone districts to deal with any outbreak disease in animals.<br />
(12) Develop guidelines and minimum standards for cattle camps and share it with<br />
provincial livestock departments, <strong>NDMA</strong>, PDMAs and DDMAs.
