(1) Deploy fire fighting teams.<br />

28. Edhi Foundation<br />

(6) Evacuate seriously injured people to hospital for further assistance.<br />

(7) Transport dead bodies and transfer to the government authorities/hospitals.<br />

(8) Coordinate with <strong>NDMA</strong>/PDMAs/DDMAs.<br />

a. Emergency <strong>Response</strong><br />

(1) Provide ambulance service for the transportation of injured and dead bodies to<br />

the hospital.<br />

(2) Provide first aid to the injured people.<br />

(3) Provide relief items e.g. food, clothes, kitchen sets etc.<br />

(4) Provide rescue and medical services.<br />

29. Pakistan Humanitarian Forum (PHF)<br />

a. Emergency Preparedness<br />

(1) Prepare emergency preparedness plan.<br />

(2) Organize seminars and workshops on disaster related issues to influence the<br />

government and donors to allocate more resources to relief and recovery.<br />

(3) Promote Sphere Project Minimum Standards in <strong>Disaster</strong>s <strong>Response</strong>.<br />

(4) Document good practices and share it with PHF members <strong>NDMA</strong>, PDMAs and<br />

DDMAs.<br />

(5) Organize disaster preparedness training programmes for community based<br />

organizations, NGOs and elected councillors at UC level.<br />

(6) Develop IEC material on disaster related issues for preventive measures in<br />

local languages.<br />

(7) Explore ways and develop strategies to work with <strong>NDMA</strong>, PDMAs and DDMAs<br />

in disaster and non disaster times.<br />

(8) Organize evaluations of the emergency response and rehabilitation<br />

programmes.<br />

b. Emergency <strong>Response</strong><br />

(1) Designate a representative in the NEOC, if and when needed.
