(3) Prepare internally displaced people (IDP) Camps guidelines and share it with<br />
provincial social welfare departments, <strong>NDMA</strong>, PDMAs and DDMAs.<br />
(4) Prepare guidelines on separated, orphans children and reunification process in<br />
emergencies.<br />
(5) Prepare guidelines on child protection, special care, special education and<br />
rehabilitation of disabled person in emergencies and share it with <strong>NDMA</strong> and<br />
other humanitarian organizations working in this area.<br />
(6) Develop IEC material on child protection, care of separated children and<br />
reunification process and care of disabled persons in emergencies.<br />
(7) Prepare guidelines and minimum standards on IDP Camps.<br />
(8) Prepare training modules on trauma and stress management.<br />
(9) Formulate contingency plans for re-apportionment of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mall<br />
resources for reinforcing national response.<br />
(10) Build capacity of provincial departments on child protection issues, separated,<br />
orphan children and reunification process.<br />
b. Emergency <strong>Response</strong><br />
7. Ministry of Interior<br />
(1) Designate a representative to the <strong>National</strong> EOC.<br />
(2) Conduct assessment of Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp situation and<br />
share it with humanitarian organizations working in this area.<br />
(3) Register all affected people living in the camp, arrange distribution of relief<br />
material and provide medical facilities in the camp.<br />
(4) Work out measures for protection of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs),<br />
especially women and children.<br />
(5) Ensure that guidelines mentioned above are followed by government authorities<br />
and humanitarian organizations.<br />
(6) Provide technical support to provincial social welfare departments in managing<br />
social welfare issues e.g. orphanage centres, safe play areas for children etc.<br />
(7) Coordinate and facilitate humanitarian organizations working on child protection<br />
issues, disability, orphanages and separated children.<br />
a. Emergency Preparedness<br />
(1) Prepare emergency preparedness plan.<br />
(2) Prepare guidelines on evacuation for different disaster situations.<br />
(3) Develop security management guidelines for International Humanitarian<br />
Organizations, UN Missions and Diplomats etc.
