<strong>SAP</strong>OSCOL is an underlying process that should always be running,<br />

even if the <strong>SAP</strong> system is shut down. START_<strong>SAP</strong>_NOW and<br />

LAUNCH_DB are made up. The message server is started once for<br />

each <strong>SAP</strong> system, and the gateway server is started once for each<br />

instance.<br />

2. Log information for the dispatcher is stored in the file dev_disp. You<br />

can control the granularity of the logged information using the profile<br />

parameter rdisp/TRACE. Therearefour trace levels; error messages<br />

and warnings are displayed, by default, at level 1.<br />
