Do not import ABA and <strong>Basis</strong> Support Packages simultaneously. Import as<br />

fewqueuesaspossible,andthereforequeuesthatareaslongaspossible,to<br />

minimize the number of required SPDD/SPAU adjustments. The “worst”<br />

aspect of importing Support Packages for customers is the SPDD/SPAU<br />

adjustment, and especially the subsequent testing that is required. It is<br />

therefore much better for the customer to import Support Packages 1 to 10<br />

in one queue (one adjustment), instead of one after other (10 adjustments).<br />

The notes must always be taken into account. These could explain, for<br />

example, that Support Packages of a certain type cannot be import at the<br />

same time in one queue, since certain problems would otherwise occur. For<br />

example, the customer wants to import Support Packages of a particular<br />

type, and to import numbers 10 to 30 there. Unfortunately, there is a note<br />

that state that importing Support Packages 25 and 26 together causes the<br />

import to terminate. The customer must therefore create two queues: one<br />

from 10 to 25, and the other from 26 to 30. This means that the import does<br />

not terminate, but there are two queues. Alternatively, the customer can<br />

import packages 10 to 30 in one and correct the problem that causes the<br />

termination manually. The notes that are displayed in the dialog box when<br />

importing the queue should be read for every import.<br />

Importing the Support Packages as a queue (other than during an upgrade<br />

or a new installation) contradicts, of course, the <strong>SAP</strong> recommendation to<br />

import the Support Packages as promptly as possible. In practice, the<br />
