assigned to the object name workitem.<br />

a) On the initial screen of the transaction Archive Administration:<br />

Initial Screen (transaction SARA), enter the value WORKITEM<br />

in the Object Name input field and then choose Customizing.<br />

On the next screen, select the row Technical Settings in Archive<br />

Object-Specific Customizing: and then choose Execute at the left<br />

of the row. Ensure that the Logical File Name field contains the<br />

value ARCHIVE_DATA_FILE. You should also ensure that the<br />

Not Scheduled radio button is selected in the Delete Jobs group<br />

box. Enter TEST_## in the Test Mode Variant field, where ##<br />

is your group number, choose the Variant button associated<br />

with this field, and choose the Change Values button on the<br />

next screen. On the following screen, select the Test Run radio<br />

button and choose Variant Attributes. IntheDescription field on<br />

the following screen, enter a useful short description of your<br />

variant and choose Save. Then return to the screen Change View<br />

Customizing View for Archiving: Details. EnterPROD_## in the<br />

Production Mode Variant field, where ## is your group number,<br />

choose the Variant button associated with this field, and choose<br />

the Change Values button on the next screen. On the following<br />

screen, Maintain Variant: Report RSWWARCD, Variant PROD_##,<br />

select the Delete radio button and then choose Variant Attributes.<br />

In the Description field on the following screen, enter a useful<br />

short description of your variant and choose Save. Thenreturn<br />

to the screen Change View Customizing View for Archiving: Details<br />

and choose Save again. You have now maintained the archiving<br />

object-specific Customizing settings. On the next screen, select<br />

an existing Workbench request using Own Requests or, if you<br />

have not yet created a new Workbench request, create a new<br />

Workbench request by choosing Create, enter a short description,<br />

save it, and choose Continue.<br />

Task 3 Start the Write Program<br />

From the <strong>SAP</strong> system, generate an archive file for the archiving object<br />

WORKITEM. To do this, schedule the write program, run it, and monitor its<br />

processing.<br />
