Working with roles simplifies authorization administration, since it is not
necessary to assign individual authorizations to each user, but rather to
performthisonceforeachtaskarea.Thisavoidscomplexities.
A role is a work center description.
You can assign authorizations to users using role maintenance. You do
this, for example, by selecting from the SAP menu or by manually inserting
transactions and URLs.
Changing a role changes the authorizations of all users assigned this role.
You must configure role maintenance before you can use it.
