You can access the developer traces using the operating system, using<br />

transaction AL11, or from transaction SM50 (Work Process Overview).<br />

In transaction SM50, you can switch to the individual dev_* traces by<br />

choosing Process → Trace → Display File. You can display additional details<br />

in the displayed traces by expanding individual entries.<br />

As a demo, use transaction AL11 to display any developer trace in the<br />

directory /usr/sap///work. In addition, you can<br />

show in transaction SM50 that it is possible to reset trace files from there<br />

and that the trace level can be changed. Call transaction SM50 and choose<br />

the menu path Process → Trace. From here, you can switch to the following<br />

functions: display file, reset, and so on.<br />
