1 Fundamentals<br />

This unit acts primarily as a short repetition of the contents of the <strong>SAP</strong>TEC<br />

course (the exception to this is the lesson “Configuring <strong>SAP</strong> Logon”). You<br />

should go into more or less detail in the individual lessons, depending on<br />

the participants’ level of knowledge.<br />

Unit Overview<br />

Basic terms and processes will be introduced in this unit, as well as the<br />

structure and architecture of an <strong>SAP</strong> system.<br />

In addition to the process of a system logon, you will learn how to set up<br />

<strong>SAP</strong> Logon and how to use a range of important analysis transactions.<br />

After completing this unit, you will be able to:<br />

• List the technical components of the <strong>SAP</strong> Web Application Server<br />

• Call central administration functions in the system<br />
