2. Check whether your <strong>SAP</strong> system is running at operating system level.<br />

a) To do this, run the command tlist /t| more to display an<br />

overview of operating system processes.<br />

3. Enter the command stopsap to stop an instance. To stop the entire <strong>SAP</strong><br />

system, first stop the dialog instance and then the central instance.<br />

The command stopsap only stops the selected instance. If the database<br />

is to be stopped, this must be done using database tools.<br />

a) Enter the command stopsap to stop an instance.<br />

stopsap syntax:<br />

stopsap name= nr=<br />

<strong>SAP</strong>DIAHOST=<br />

To stop the entire <strong>SAP</strong> system, first stop the dialog instance and<br />
