Caution: saplpd must be started at operating system level on<br />

the destination host.<br />

1. Create a remote printer Remote##in the <strong>SAP</strong> system that calls a<br />

remote printer that the instructor specifies.<br />

2. Output any list with immediate printing on the printer Remote##.<br />

3. Check your output.<br />

1. Create a front end printer Frontend## in the <strong>SAP</strong> system that calls the<br />

default printer of a Microsoft Windows front end PC.<br />

Task 5 Frontend Printing with the <strong>SAP</strong> GUI for HTML<br />

(Optional)<br />

1. In the <strong>SAP</strong> system, create a new printer Webgui##by copying the front<br />

end printer that you have created. Change the device type to “PDF1”.<br />

2. Call the following URL in your local Web Browser (in the training<br />

room):<br />

http://:/scripts/wgate/webgui/!<br />

For example:<br />

http://twdf9999.wdf.sap.corp:1081/ scripts/wgate/webgui/!<br />

Hint: Do not forget the “!” sign at the end.<br />

3. Log on with your <strong>SAP</strong> user. Print any list (such as the output from<br />

transaction AL08) on the printer Webgui##. Observe what happens in<br />

the new Web browser window.<br />
