Overview: Other Print Scenarios<br />

In addition to the information in the course material, you should<br />

investigate “Web Printing” in more detail as part of your preparation, since<br />

you can present this connection in the course due to the available <strong>SAP</strong> ITS.<br />

Printing to PDF is an excellent function of the spool system and should<br />

certainly be demonstrated. Take into account the information about this<br />

in <strong>SAP</strong> Note 351230.<br />

External Output Management Systems (OMS) can be addressed from<br />

the <strong>SAP</strong> system using a defined interface (BC-XOM) (access method E).<br />

This method is of particular interestifyouhaveaverylargevolume,or<br />

the output of multiple systems (<strong>SAP</strong> systems and others) is to be centrally<br />

controlled and monitored. You can find a list of all certified products<br />

under http://www.sap.com/spp (Software Partner Program).<br />

Since <strong>SAP</strong> <strong>Basis</strong> 4.0B (as of a particular kernel and Support Package status),<br />

you can send print output by e-mail to a user (access method M). The<br />
