Task 2 Create a Local Printer<br />

1. Create a local printer Local## (## stands for your group number) in<br />

your <strong>SAP</strong> system that calls one of the previously determined printers.<br />

a) Call Tools → CCMS → Spool → Spool Administration (transaction<br />

SPAD). On the Devices/Servers tab page, choose Output Devices<br />

(leave the field to the right empty). If you cannot find the button<br />

to Create, choose Change to switch to change mode. Now create<br />

the printer Local## with the following specifications:<br />

• Device Attributes tab page:<br />

– Device Type: Should match the previously determined<br />

printer (HPLJ4)<br />

– Spool Server: Any spool server from your system<br />

– Location: Anytext<br />

• Host Spool Access Method tab page:<br />

– Access Method: C for Windows<br />

– Host Printer: Name of the previously determined<br />

printer (Printer1 or Printer2)<br />

Acceptthedefaultvaluesfortheothervaluesandsave.Asyou<br />

can see, the system specifies the Short Name automatically.<br />

2. Output any list (Suggestion: All profile parameters that begin with<br />

“rspo”) without immediate printing on the printer Local##.<br />

a) To create the suggested list, start transaction SA38 enter the<br />

report RSPFPAR, and execute it. Enter the parameter rspo*<br />

and choose Execute again. Alternatively, you can also print the<br />

output of transaction SM51.<br />

ToPrint,choosetheappropriatebutton.Alternatively,youcan<br />

choose System → List → Print. ChooseLocal## as the output<br />

device (enter it directly or select it using the F4 help). Choose<br />

Continue without making any additional entries.<br />

Task3CreateaRemotePrinter(Optional)<br />

You can offer the participants one of the two following options for creating<br />

a remote printer:<br />

A) Use the participants’ hosts as destination hosts.<br />
