383 Setting Up Remote Connections<br />

The participants obtain an overview of the configuration of RFC<br />

destinations using transaction SM59 and learn about the different types<br />

of RFC and their use.<br />

The unit is divided into two parts: A specific part about using transaction<br />

SM59, in which the aim is to enable participants to successfully create an<br />

RFC destination. A general part deals with the other possibilities for using<br />

RFC connections in the <strong>SAP</strong> environment.<br />

Unit Overview<br />

In this unit, you will learn about remote connections, also known as<br />

Remote Function Calls (RFC). In addition to the different types of RFC,<br />

you will learn about the technical setting up of connections of this type.<br />
