The file sapdoccd.ini, described here in more detail, is primarily used
on front ends that are connected to the SAP system by a WAN connection.
In this way, it is possible to access local help files, and to avoid network
load. The initial screen of the online documentation in .chm format is more
than2MBinsizeduetothelargeinitialnavigationtree.
Explain the sequence in which possible locations for the sapdoccd.ini
file are evaluated. There could be a number of these files stored on a
front end. For detailed information about the content and structure of
sapdoccd.ini, see SAP Note 94849.
Explanation of the parameters and possible values:
• HelpType: PlainHtmlHttp, PlainHtmlFile, HtmlHelpFile,
DynamicHelp, GetFromR3
• Server: Name of the Web server on which the files for
are stored
• Path-: Path under which the help for
the logon language is stored: should be
replaced with a two-character language ID.
• Path: Path under which the help that is to be displayed
if the parameter Path- is not defined for the
current logon language is stored.
