ADM100 Lesson: Configuring the Online Documentation<br />

PlainHtmlHttp<br />

With this help type, the documents are stored in the standard HTML<br />

format. The documents are made available using a Web server and are<br />

displayed with a standard Web Browser. This help type can be used<br />

on all front end platforms and the documentation is displayed using<br />

a standard Web browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape).<br />

This help provides a full text search in all documents (global search)<br />

and you can print individual help documents.<br />

PlainHtmlFile<br />

This (most simple) help type also stores the documents in standard<br />

HTML format. The documents are made available using a file server<br />

and are displayed with a standard Web browser. This help variant<br />

can be used on all front end platforms except Microsoft Windows 3.1x<br />

(16 bit), and allows you to print individual help documents.<br />

DynamicHelp<br />

DynamicHelp can be used on all front end platforms, uses the<br />

standard HTML format for its files, and the file access takes place<br />

using the Knowledge Warehouse server. The documents are<br />

displayed in a standard Web browser. For more information, see the<br />

Normally, an end user accesses the online documentation based on the<br />

SR13 settings. However, if there is a sapdoccd.ini file stored in one<br />

of the following specified directories on the user’s front end, its settings<br />

override those from transaction SR13. If, however, no settings have been<br />
