ADM100 Lesson: Setting up Operation Modes<br />

1. Schedule the operation modes that you have created in the timetable<br />

for normal operation.<br />

a) You can schedule operation modes using the operation mode<br />

calendar (Tools → CCMS → Configuration → Operation Mode<br />

Calendar, transaction SM63).<br />

Select Normal Operation and then choose Change.<br />

Select the start and end of the period for operation mode<br />

“Day” by double clicking the appropriate lines. Choose the<br />

Assign button and use the F4 help to select the operation mode<br />

Day. Follow the same procedure to assign the operation mode<br />

“Night”. After you have assigned the entire 24 hour period to<br />

your operation modes, choose Save.<br />

Task 3 Manual Switch of Operation Modes<br />

1. To observe the change in work process distribution when the<br />

operation mode is switched, switch to the “Night” operation mode<br />

manually in the Control Panel.<br />

a) You can perform a manual switch of the operation modes in the<br />

Control Panel (Tools → CCMS → Control/Monitoring → Control<br />

Panel, transactionRZ03).<br />

As a first step, select the operation mode to which you want to<br />

switch, by choosing Choose operation mode. Select the operation<br />

mode and choose Choose.<br />

The switch is performed in a second step, by choosing Control →<br />

Switch Operation Mode → All Servers.<br />

2. How can you observe the change of the work process distribution?<br />

a) Check the changed distribution of the work processes in the<br />

process overview (Tools → Administration → Monitor → System<br />

Monitoring → Process Overview, transaction SM50).<br />
