4.5 Univention Directory Manager modules
The directory to be shared is entered as a parameter when starting the TFTP service. If this case
the path to the boot file should be entered relative to the /var/lib/univention-client-boot
directory.
If the required file is called linux.0 and stored in the directory
/var/lib/univention-client-boot/kernel/, Boot filename the path kernel/linux.0
must be entered in the input field.
’[Client devices]’ tab
This tab is only found on thin client computers.
Activate access to client devices
Selecting this checkbox allows access from this thin client to peripherals such as CD-ROM and disk
drives connected to this thin client.
’[Univention Configuration Registry]’ tab
Detailed information on the policy-based inheritance of Univention Configuration Registry variables
can be found in Chapter 14.9.
’[Desktop settings]’ tab
The appearance of the KDE Linux interface can be configured for the user on this tab.
Desktop language
The user’s KDE language setting.
Attention:
For the selection to take effect, the corresponding KDE language package must be installed on the
computer - on the terminal server for thin clients.
Desktop profile
A profile which stipulates the appearance of the KDE Linux interface for the user. The profiles entered
in the univention container in the default object are available for selection (see Chapter 4.5.12.6 and
[10]).
Logon scripts
The script entered here is run during the user’s KDE log-in.
