4 Univention Directory Manager Service The system services provided by this UCS system can be selected from the default values and entered in this list field. ’(Options)’ tab This tab is only available when adding a host and only for computer types which receive a computer account as standard. The tab is not shown when editing hosts. The tab allows selection of certain object classes for the host. The input fields for attributes of deselected object classes are not shown. For UCS hosts: Kerberos principal If this checkbox is not selected the host does not receive the krb5Principal and krb5KDCEntry object classes. Posix account If this checkbox is not selected the host does not receive the posixAccount object class. Nagios support If this checkbox is not selected the host does not receive the univentionNagiosHostClass object class. For Windows hosts: Samba account If this checkbox is not selected the host does not receive the sambaSamAccount object class. ’General’ tab Name (*) 4.5 Univention Directory Manager modules The name of the Windows domain which trusts the Samba domain should be entered in this input field. Description A description of your choice for the domain trust account can be entered in this input field. ’Domain Trust Account’ tab Password (*) The password which will later be used on the PDC of the Windows domain must be entered in this input field. The password can be chosen freely, although the general requirements for passwords must be taken into account when doing so. Password (retype) (*) To avoid the risk of typing errors the above password must be reentered. 4.5.5 Shares management In the sharing management, directory shares for NFS and Samba can be added, searched, edited, and deleted. Shares deleted in Univention Directory Manager will automatically be removed from the system. The data contained in the shared directory are preserved when the share is removed. The following policy objects can be used for or inherited in share management (see Chapter 4.5.11): • User quota ’General’ tab Name (*) The name of the share is to be entered here. Host The server where the share is located. This setting cannot be subsequently edited. All of the domain controller master/backup/slave computers and member servers entered in the LDAP directory for the domain are available for selection which are entered in a DNS forward lookup zone in the LDAP directory. This setting cannot be subsequently edited. Directory (*) The absolute path of the directory to be shared, without quotation marks (this also applies if the name includes special characters such as spaces). If the directory does not exist, it will be created 75
