’Private contact’ tab
Phone numbers can consist of the numerals 0-9, the letters a-z in upper and lower case, and the ), (,
/, + and - characters.
Mobile telephone number
The user’s mobile numbers can be entered here.
Home telephone number
The private fixed network phone number can be entered here.
Pager telephone number
Pager numbers can be entered here.
Home postal address
One or more of the user’s private postal addresses can be entered in this field. In UCS versions prior
to 2.3 only one address could be saved in this field. If you have updated from an earlier version it will
only be possible to save one address here.
’Organisation’ tab
Employee number
Numbers for staff members can be entered in this field.
Employee type
The category of the staff member can be entered here.
Department number
The department number of the staff member can be entered here.
Room number
The room number of the staff member.
Superior
The superior of the user can be selected here.
’POSIX (Linux/UNIX)’ tab
UNIX home directory (*)
The path of the user’s home directory is to be entered here. By default, /home/ followed by the user
name is preset. The declaration of the home directory should be unique across the domain.
