A list of usernames, the use of which in <strong>Univention</strong> Directory Manager is to be excluded.<br />

4.5.12.9 Package lists<br />

Software packages for the distribution of software can be compiled in Settings: Package List objects.<br />

Package lists are stored in the packages container. More detailed information can be found in Chap-<br />

ter 11.3.4.<br />

The names of the software packages should be entered in this field that are to be installed or unin-<br />

stalled via software distribution.<br />

4.5.12.10 Services<br />

With Settings: Service objects, preset values can be defined which specify whether a <strong>UCS</strong> system is to<br />

offer a certain system service.<br />

The default values defined here can be assigned to individual computers in computer management (see<br />

’Services’ tab in the Chapter 4.5.4). This is currently supported on the <strong>Univention</strong> groupware server<br />

systems for the Kolab service and Scalix service.<br />

4.5.13 User-defined attributes<br />

One of the targets when developing <strong>UCS</strong> is the possibility for the operator to extend the system. Therefore,<br />

on the one hand <strong>UCS</strong> utilises open standards such as LDAP, on the other hand especially developed<br />

interfaces are documented and designed for extendibility. In <strong>Univention</strong> Directory Manager, user-defined<br />
