Affected system services will be restarted during the changes. Since these are basic settings, the overall<br />

system should also be restarted once all the changes are made.<br />

5.4.2 Nagios<br />

A telephone number can be entered here for Nagios. With this option, Nagios not only sends events to<br />

an e-mail address, an SMS is also sent to a mobile phone. More information can be found in the Nagios<br />

documentation [12].<br />

5.4.3 Mail server configuration<br />

Basic settings for the mail server are performed in the mail server wizard.<br />

• Spam filtering<br />

This checkbox is used to activate/deactivate spam filtering. Further information can be found in<br />

Chapter 1<strong>2.4</strong>.<br />

• Virus detection<br />

This checkbox is used to activate/deactivate virus detection. Further information can be found in<br />

Chapter 12.5.<br />

• IMAP access<br />

IMAP access to mailboxes can be switched on and off here.<br />

• IMAP quota support<br />

This option can be used to enforce a setting so that the size of the inbox is checked when IMAP<br />

mailboxes are accessed.<br />

• POP3 access<br />

POP3 access to mailboxes can be switched on and off here.<br />

• Maximum message size<br />

The maximum size in bytes for acceptable e-mails can be set here.<br />

• Alternative e-mail address for root<br />

Many system servers send the root user status e-mails. An alternative recipient for the root user<br />

can be specified here.
