4.5 <strong>Univention</strong> Directory Manager modules<br />

To register a container as a standard container, the object default containers is to be opened in the<br />

univention container via the LDAP browser. There is a tab for each standard container type in this object,<br />

on which the list of standard containers can be edited. If, for example, the DN of a standard container for<br />

clients is to be added, then the Clients tab is to be selected, and the DN of the container to be defined as<br />

the standard container for clients is to be entered in the entry field standard client container. Alternatively,<br />

the DN can be entered automatically during adding or editing a container or an organisational unit (see<br />

chapter 4.5.8.1).<br />

’General’ tab<br />

Name (*)<br />

This field states the name of the object. For the standard container, this name is preset to default<br />

containers, and cannot be changed.<br />

’Users’ tab<br />

User Link<br />

The DNs of the containers to be used as standard containers for user objects, is to be entered here.<br />

’Groups’ tab<br />

Group Link<br />

The DNs of the containers to be used as standard containers for group objects, is to be entered here.<br />

’Computers’ tab<br />
