Univention Management Console is a modularly designed, web-based application for the administration of
individual Univention Corporate Server systems. The application allows the user to control services, check
system utilisation, and check or adjust system parameters.
The web interface of the Univention Management Console can be used by any client. The permission
concept of Univention Management Console is based on policies. This makes it possible to define for
each user or group the services they may influence, the extent of the exerted influence, and on which
servers they may do so. In this way, for example, certain people can be assigned the permission to
administrate the print service of one or a number of servers, whilst another group can only use the quotas.
A further group could only be given a restricted permission to delete print jobs, but not restart paused
