4 Univention Directory Manager ’License’ tab Name (*) The Name of the licence object. Module (*) This field states the module for which the licence was granted. Expiry date (*) The date by which the licence becomes invalid. Base DN (*) The Base DN for which the licence was granted. The licence can only be used if the Base DN of the licence is identical to the Base DN of the LDAP directory. Max. user accounts The maximum number of user accounts covered by this licence. Max. groupware accounts The maximum number of groupware accounts covered by this licence. Max. clients The maximum number of clients covered by this licence. Max. desktops The maximum number of desktops covered by this licence. Valid product types The licence applies to the product types registered here. Product types not listed here are not covered by the licence and will not be activated by Univention Directory Manager. Signature (*) The digital signature of the licence. 4.5.12.2 Printer driver lists As standard the printer driver lists for printer management are saved in the univention ➞cups container. New lists can be added here or existing ones edited. 130
’General’ tab Name (*) 4.5 Univention Directory Manager modules The name of the printer driver list. The name under which the list appears in the Manufacturer selection list on the General tab for printer shares. Driver The path to the ppd file or to the /usr/share/cups/model/ directory. For example, if the /usr/share/cups/model/laserjet.ppd should be used, laserjet.ppd must be entered here. gzip compressed files can also be entered here. Attention: Ensure that printer drivers entered are saved on the respective printer server under the /usr/share/cups/model/ directory. Description A description of the printer driver, under which it appears in the Printer model selection list on the General tab for printer shares. 4.5.12.3 Printer URI Lists When setting up a printer via Univention Directory Manager (see Chapter 4.5.7) the fields Protocol and Destination must be filled out. If the required protocol is not available in the displayed Protocol selection list, it can be added via a Printer URI List object. As standard the printer URI lists are saved in the univention ➞cups container. ’General’ tab Name (*) The freely selectable name of the printer URI list. Printer URI One or more protocols can be entered in this field, which are then displayed in the Protocol selection field when setting up a printer, e.g ftp:// . 4.5.12.4 User templates User templates can speed up the process of creating a user by presetting certain values. Predefined user templates can be found in the user administration under Add in the Select Template list. User templates can only be created beneath cn=univention,, and are stored in cn=templates,cn=univention, by default. 131
