5 <strong>Univention</strong> Management Console<br />

restrictions of the server services during the update. Any intermediate versions are also installed automat-<br />

ically.<br />

Clicking on Install available security updates installs all the available security updates for the current<br />

release.<br />

Package updates activates an update of the package sources currently entered. This can be used, for<br />

example, if an updated version is provided for a component.<br />

The following configuration changes can be made in the Settings tab.<br />

The Repository server and, if applicable, a Repository prefix can be specified in Release settings. In<br />

addition, one can configure which repository options should be used:<br />

Use maintained repositories This is activated in the preset values and integrates the standard package<br />

repository.<br />

Use unmaintained repositories Further software for <strong>UCS</strong> releases can be found in the unmaintained<br />

repositories, which can be integrated with this option. As standard this is not activated.<br />

Use hotfix repositories This option can be activated in order to be able to use the <strong>Univention</strong> hotfixes.<br />

Further details can be found in Section 11.2.1.<br />

An overview of software components which expand the scope of function of <strong>Univention</strong> Corporate Server<br />

can be found under Component settings.<br />

The Add a new component button allows a new software component to be installed. Name identifies<br />

the component on the download server. A free text can be entered under Description, for example, for<br />

describing the functions of the component in more detail. The host name of the download server is to be<br />

entered in the input field Server name, and, if necessary, an additional file path in Prefix. A Username and<br />
