13.5 Print quota
-G –pgroups pg1[,pg2...] Add the printer to the printer groups pg1,pg2.... The printer
groups must already exist.
-g –groups Edit user groups.
-p –prototype u|g Uses user u or user group g as the prototype for setting the
quotas.
-n –noquota No quotas are set, but the costs and print history activated.
-r –reset Resets the counter for the current page usage. The life time
counter is not changed.
-R –hardreset Resets all counters for page usage.
-S –softlimit X Sets the soft limit to X pages.
-H –hardlimit X Sets the hard limit to X pages.
edpykota --add -S 50 -H 60 user01
user01 receives a soft limit of 50 pages and a hard limit of 60 pages on all printers. If user01 has yet to
be created, it will be created in the print quota system. In other cases the entry will be adapted.
edpykota --add --printer printer01 -S 50 -H 60 user01
user01 receives a soft limit of 50 pages and a hard limit of 60 pages on printer01. If both printer01 and
user01 are yet to be created, they are created. In other cases the entries will be adapted.
edpykota --reset user01
Resets the counter for current page usage foruser01 to 0 on all printers. The life time counter for user01
remains unchanged.
edpykota --add -g testgroup01
Creates the user group testgroup01 in the print quota system.
edpykota -g -S 500 -H 650 testgroup01
The group testgroup01 receives a soft limit of 500 pages and a hard limit of 650 pages.
edpykota -i testgroup01 user01
Adds user01 to the testgroup01 group.
edpykota --add --printer printer01 -i testgroup01 -S 50 -H 60 user01
Sets user01 a soft limit of 50 pages and a hard limit of 60 pages for printer01 and assigns him to the
testgroup01 group. If printer01 or user01 is not yet in the quota system, it is created.
edpykota --delete user01
Completely removes user01 from the quota system.
edpykota --printer lp --charge 12,7
Sets the price per page at 12 and the price per print job at 7 for lp.
