4.5 <strong>Univention</strong> Directory Manager modules<br />

The ’Print quota’ component need to have been selected during installation or installed by running<br />

the univention-system-setup-software in order to be able to calculate print quotas and print<br />

costs.<br />

Print quota for users<br />

A print quota is established for the user selected here.<br />

Soft-Limit (Pages)<br />

If a user reaches the number of pages entered here, he receives a warning message per e-mail that<br />

his print contingent is almost exhausted. The limit is removed by entering 0. Further information can<br />

be found in Chapter 13.5.2.<br />

Hard-Limit (Pages)<br />

If a user reaches the number of pages entered here, all further print jobs from this user will be denied.<br />

Only an administrator can reactivate the user’s contingent. The limit is removed by entering 0. Further<br />

information can be found in Chapter 13.5.2.<br />

Print quota for groups per user<br />

The soft limit and hard limit are set for every user of the group specified here. The quotas are<br />

evaluated for each user individually.<br />

Print quota for groups<br />

The group specified here is assigned a common contingent. All users belonging to the group can use<br />

this contingent.<br />

If more than 200 users or groups are found, or if the search in the LDAP directory takes longer than<br />

ten seconds, an input field will be displayed instead of the select list, in which the user name or group<br />

name is to be entered.<br />

The name of the print server whose printer the computer should use can be entered here.<br />

’[Release]’ tab<br />

Activate policy<br />

If this field is activated, the computer performs an automatic system update. Release version is<br />

used to specify to which version number the update should go. If this field is not activated, there is no<br />
