This course provides participants with an overview<br />
of NEMIS and how to utilize and manage the<br />
Mitigation module, how to enter and process HMGP<br />
project applications at the State and FEMA levels,<br />
and how to manage and close out projects and the<br />
HMGP program. (This course assists participants<br />
in ensuring their capability to successfully conduct<br />
the NEMIS-MT course through lecture, small-group<br />
exercise, evaluation, and individual exercise.)<br />
Selection Criteria: This course is open to Mitigation<br />
Cadre members and State/Tribal personnel who are<br />
involved with the development and/or management<br />
of the HMGP program.<br />
Prerequisites:<br />
Recommended: E212, Unified Hazard Mitigation Assistance,<br />
working knowledge of UHMA Guidance,<br />
Mitigation Program Regulations, Laws, etc., and<br />
Grants <strong>Management</strong> concepts and principles.<br />
Course Length: 5 days (optional five additional lab<br />

This course is designed to teach trainers <strong>for</strong> the Public<br />

Mission Integrated Environment (EMMIE) all system<br />
functions of both the internal (FEMA) and external<br />
(Grantee) applications. Participants per<strong>for</strong>m paperbased<br />
exercises and also learn techniques <strong>for</strong><br />
conducting EMMIE training.<br />

This course is designed to teach the Joint Field<br />
Office (JFO) communications standard operating<br />
procedures, the Incident Communications Annexes,<br />
and Incident Communications Plans. This instruction<br />
will assist in assuring consistency in communications<br />
planning and execution during an incident.<br />

This 2-day class teaches the hands-on skills needed<br />
to maintain Phone Book Exchange (PBX) systems<br />
that are installed in FEMA permanent and temporary<br />
facilities. PBX equipment will be available <strong>for</strong> the<br />
hands-on training of each participant.<br />
