This course is designed to provide local and State-level<br />

course train-the-trainer (ttt) (E955)<br />

This course is designed to provide local and State-level<br />

emergency responders with a robust understanding<br />

of the duties, responsibilities, and capabilities of an<br />

effective Safety Officer (SOFR) on an All-Hazards<br />

Incident <strong>Management</strong> Team (AHIMT). These<br />

responsibilities fall into two categories: 1) responding<br />

to the incident and the safety needs of the incident, and<br />

2) effectively fulfilling the position responsibilities<br />

of an SOFR on an AHIMT. Exercises, simulations,<br />

discussions, and a final exam enable participants to<br />

process and apply their new knowledge.<br />

Selection Criteria: NIMS ICS All-Hazards Position-<br />

Specific training should be completed by personnel<br />

who are regularly assigned to functional, support,<br />

or unit leader positions on United States Fire<br />

Administration (USFA) or other Type III AHIMTs,<br />

or by those persons who desire to seek credentials/<br />

certification in those positions.<br />

Prerequisites:<br />

Required: G300, Intermediate Incident Command System<br />

(ICS) <strong>for</strong> Expanding Incidents, ICS-300; G400, Advanced<br />

Incident Command System (ICS), Command and General<br />

Staff—Complex Incidents, ICS-400; IS 100.a, Introduction<br />

to the Incident Command System (ICS), ICS-100; IS 200.a,<br />

Incident Command System (ICS) <strong>for</strong> Single Resources and<br />

Initial Action Incidents, ICS-200; IS 700.a, National Incident<br />

<strong>Management</strong> System (NIMS), An Introduction; and IS 800.b,<br />

National Response Framework (NRF), An Introduction.<br />

Course Length: 4 days<br />
