Prerequisites:<br />

Required: Participants must complete E601,<br />

<strong>Management</strong> and Supervision of Training, E602, Per<strong>for</strong>mance<br />

and Needs Analysis, and E603, Instructional Design, first.<br />

Pre-Course Work: Participants will be required to<br />

complete and submit the Plan of Instruction they<br />

completed during E603, Instructional Design.<br />

Credit Hours: 2 hours<br />

Curriculum: Education, Public Administration, or<br />

<strong>Emergency</strong> <strong>Management</strong><br />

Course Length: 4 days<br />

Instructional Delivery (E605)<br />

This course will enhance the participant’s knowledge,<br />

skills, and abilities to be a more effective instructor.<br />

The course includes in-class reading assignments,<br />

group exercises, and individual presentations. Since<br />

the emphasis of this course is on delivery, participants<br />

will be required to deliver THREE presentations<br />

using a variety of training techniques.<br />

and other trainers with emergency management<br />

Required: Participants must complete E601,<br />

Pre-Course Work: Participants must be prepared to<br />

deliver a presentation using the content of the<br />

unit or lesson of instruction that was developed<br />

in the Course Development course or that they<br />

are developing <strong>for</strong> their Master Trainer Practicum,<br />

or another unit of instruction from something else<br />

they have developed. The participant must come to<br />

class with a complete unit to include the Instructor<br />

Guide, Participant Manual, and visuals.<br />

Evaluation of training (K606)<br />

This web-based course will provide participants with<br />

the knowledge, skills, and tools to evaluate training<br />

effectively. Using instructional materials designed<br />

and developed in previous Master Trainer <strong>courses</strong>,<br />

participants will develop some evaluation items <strong>for</strong><br />

the training they are developing.<br />

This is only available as self-paced training using<br />

the web. When participants complete E604, Course<br />

Development, they are eligible <strong>for</strong> K606. The K606<br />

course manager will provide the course requirements<br />

and <strong>enrollment</strong> procedures. Participants should<br />

contact the course manager <strong>for</strong> K606 to enroll in<br />

the course.<br />

A limited number of participants can be enrolled in<br />

K606 at one time. Participants have up to 14 weeks<br />

to complete the course. Participants will submit four<br />

written assignments <strong>for</strong> instructor evaluation and<br />

will be able to communicate electronically with the<br />

instructor and other participants.<br />

A standard certificate will be issued upon successful<br />

completion of the course.<br />
