Introduction to the Incident command<br />

system, Ics-100, <strong>for</strong> federal workers<br />

(Is 100.fwa)<br />

This course provides Federal Workers a familiarization<br />

with ICS principles, how they can be applied<br />

in incidents, and how to interface with response<br />

personnel. The course has the same objectives as the<br />

IS 100.a, Introduction to the Incident Command<br />

System (ICS), ICS-100, course. Additional content has<br />

been added to explain how the ICS principles apply<br />

to an incident that involves Federal assistance under<br />

the Staf<strong>for</strong>d Act or National Response Framework.<br />

This course meets the requirement <strong>for</strong> ICS-100/IS<br />

100 training.<br />

system, Ics-100, <strong>for</strong> Healthcare/Hospitals<br />

(Is 100.Hc)<br />

This course introduces the ICS as it applies to the<br />

healthcare/hospital environment and provides the<br />

foundation <strong>for</strong> higher-level ICS training. This course<br />

describes the history, features and principles, and<br />

organizational structure of the ICS. It also explains the<br />

relationship between ICS and the NIMS. This course<br />

should be completed by the hospital personnel who<br />

would have a direct role in emergency preparedness,<br />

incident management, and/or emergency response<br />

during an incident (e.g., hospital emergency<br />

manager, hospital administrator, department head).<br />

(Is 100.HE)<br />

This course introduces the ICS and provides the<br />

foundation <strong>for</strong> higher-level ICS training. This course<br />

is a comprehensive introduction to ICS tailored <strong>for</strong><br />

higher education situations. Case studies, scenarios,<br />

and video clips of people and places that have<br />

been involved in campus emergency planning are<br />

integrated into the course.<br />
