the PA program, compliance with other Federal laws<br />

and regulations, and project <strong>for</strong>mulation.<br />

(Emac) (E431)<br />

This course enables emergency management<br />

personnel and response and recovery personnel<br />

from all political jurisdictions to more effectively<br />

understand, activate, implement, and utilize the<br />

EMAC system.<br />

The goal of this course is to introduce emergency<br />

management personnel and response and recovery<br />

personnel from all political jurisdictions to the<br />

EMAC process and assist them in gaining familiarity<br />

and competency with the EMAC system so that<br />

when an event occurs that requires activation of<br />

the EMAC system, they know how to proceed, and<br />

what documentation and sources of in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />

to use <strong>for</strong> guidance in order to maximize use of all<br />

available resources.<br />

Selection Criteria: <strong>Emergency</strong> management personnel<br />

and response and recovery personnel from all political<br />

jurisdictions who can be legally deployed through<br />

the EMAC system, persons officially responsible <strong>for</strong><br />

requesting and providing EMAC assistance, and those<br />

individuals desiring a more comprehensive working<br />

knowledge of the EMAC system.<br />

This course provides State/Grantee Public Assistance<br />

(PA) and Grant Administration staff with an in-depth<br />

look at the pre-award, post-award, and closeout<br />

activities associated with the PA program. Participants<br />

will learn to apply Federal regulations, assist with project<br />

identification, ensure financial reporting requirements<br />

are met, and outline documentation requirements.<br />

Selection Criteria: Grantee staff responsible <strong>for</strong><br />

administering the PA program or those involved in<br />

PA grant administration.<br />
