After obviating these objections, let him,
upon the principle of infallibility, account for
the variation of the traditions of one age from
these of another. The Church of Rome, during
the first ages, did not receive the epistle to

and it was admitted into the canon of scripture.

of Trent found tradition erroneous in rejecting
certain books as apocryphal, and therefore received
