There are a large number of individualsinvolved, and each has contributed in their own way to the success of this publication. This publication would not have beenpossible without the participation of the Branches and membership in researching and contributing the stories contained inthis book.I would also like to thank Command staff and executive for their help in collecting the required information and their guidancein the decision-making and direction this project has taken.The professional expertise of Fenety Marketing has again raised funds through the selling of advertising in this book andthrough a public telephone solicitation that has made this publication possible. This fundraising has contributed much-neededfinancial assistance to this Command and the many programs it sponsors and supports.I would also like to thank the Legion Branches and their members for their tireless work on behalf of our Command’s veterans,ex-service personnel and their families.This unique publication is dedicated to those who have served their country so well during times of war and peace. This bookwill help future generations better understand the sacrifices made during these times of great conflict, and to better understandthe purpose and objects of The Royal Canadian Legion.A special thank you to all who took the time to compose and submit stories. There are too many to list, but you will recognizeyour contribution as your stories are told in this book.With this project continuing for a couple of more years, all stories submitted will be considered for publication and we hopemore stories will continue to come in over the year.We have tried to include as much of the information we received as possible and we regret we have had to leave someinformation out because of space constraints.
