British ColumBia / <strong>Yukon</strong> <strong>Command</strong>Linn, Einar ArthurArthur was born near Coaldale, Alberta on August 7, 1914. He joined theArmy in 1939, served during World War Two in Canada, the UnitedKingdom, and the Central Mediterranean and was discharged in 1946.Arthur received the Italy Star, the Defence Medal, and the CanadianVolunteer Service medal and Clasp. When he returned to Canada, he settledin Lethbridge, Alberta but soon moved to Crawford Bay, <strong>BC</strong> and eventuallyto Kaslo, <strong>BC</strong>, where he was a member of <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #74 for forty-threeyears. Arthur died in 1991.Lochhead, JimJim enlisted in the Royal Corps of Signals in June 1964 in Toronto, Ontario.Jim served with the rank of Signalman as a wireless radio operator anddriver with the 1 st Canadian Signals Regiment in Canada, including a timeat Alert in the Northwest Territories. He was discharged in October 1969.Jim is a member of <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #24 in Cranbrook, <strong>BC</strong>.Locke, James RichardJames was born in Summerside, PEI in 1984. He joined the Canadian ForcesSignals in 2001 in Saint John, New Brunswick and took basic training inDundurn, Saskatchewan. He has been stationed in Gagetown, NewBrunswick, Toronto, Kingston, and Petawawa, Ontario, and Comox, BritishColumbia. James has completed one tour in Afghanistan and is still servingwith the Signals. He has been awarded the General Campaign Star – ISAFBar for service with the UN-mandated International Security AssistanceForce (ISAF) in Afghanistan. James has been a member of SeaviewCentennial <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #257 in Lantzville, <strong>BC</strong> for one year.www.legionbcyukon.ca175
